    Vietnamese cafe Kinhfolk, opening in East Williamsburg later this year, is doing a series of pop-ups around Brooklyn preparatory to that, to do some recipe testing and get to know the community. We caught them at their recent Dear Friend Books (pictured above) pop-up. This coming event will be at Archestratus Books & Foods, a one-of-a-kind food bookstore / grocery store / event space, and one of my favorite places in Brooklyn.

For the last few weeks they've had a weekend pop-up at South Street Seaport's Maum Store. This weekend they're serving a Mango Sticky Rice Iced Latte, a Saigon Style Latte (bạc xỉu) and a Mango Matcha Latte, all made with specialty robusta grown in Vietnam.

    River Phin, a west coast roaster of specialty Vietnamese and Thai coffees (and wholesale partner for upcoming East Williamsburg cafe Kinhfolk), will be popping up at Maum Stores, in the South Street Seaport.
