They roast and prepare everything well and have an impressive food menu for a New York cafe; their bacon, egg and cheese is something I actively look forward to eating.

Tera specializes in co-ferments and offers a stripped-down menu of specialty drinks, single origin espresso and pourovers (and tea). There's no batch or cold brew. Open since December 2025 and helmed by veteran barista, Meech Molina, Moon has already situated itself among the top cafes in the city and is a Coffee Klatsch favorite.

Every Wednesday we meet to explore the New York City specialty coffee and cafe scene, this week at Suited, a multi-roaster cafe that is one of Manhattan's best coffee shops. Suited hosts a lot of events, sources coffee from all over the world, and sells way better than average food for a cafe.

This week's meetup is planned to coincide with Deep Cut Coffee's first event ever, a bar takeover at hidden Bushwick multi-roaster shop, Secret, tucked away in the Broadway Mall. Deep Cut is an Astoria-based nano-roaster.

Every Wednesday we meet to explore the local specialty coffee scene, this week at Lower East Side's Cafe Essx, by far the best New York City cafe in a clothing store. Their coffee program is run by veteran barista Joey Harvey, who brought on Hyunah Coffee Club to help create a more interesting cafe menu, expanding base model offerings from Parlor with hand brews from a variety of roasters.

Every Wednesday we meet to explore New York City specialty coffee, anyone invited, no experience required. This week we're convening at Obscure Coffee Roasters, where founder Norberto Peña will be preparing his Aeropress competition coffee for us (he's competing in Boston a few days later) along with the rest of his wonderful offerings.

In the year since Park at Kims opened, it has evolved into one of our best multi-roaster shops, sourcing Korean (and other) coffees not often found in New York City and preparing them well. This meetup marks exactly one year since our last klatsch at Park at Kims, which took place nine days after their August 18, 2025 soft opening.

Every Wednesday we meet to explore the New York City specialty coffee scene, this week at Banh by Lauren, a Vietnamese-French bakery in Two Bridges. Banh by Lauren has the best coffee program for a dedicated bakery in the city. Afterwards we will probably head over to Bazu! in Chinatown, a few blocks away.
