Pop Up | Driftaway Coffee Bakery Showcase at Brooklyn Granary & Mill, Gowanus

Brooklyn Granary & Mill, one of New York City’s finest bakeries, is doing a pop-up with their regular coffee supplier, Brooklyn roaster, Driftaway Coffee. At least one of Driftaway’s founders will be on hand serving coffee from Kerehaklu, a biodiverse coffee farm located in Chikmagalur, India; the coffee is “a rare varietal (SL9) and super unique and special,” according to the roaster.
For the event, Brooklyn Granary & Mill will be incorporating freshly milled spices from Fort Greene’s Eat Sourcery, a small batch spice company that sources from family farms. Their black pepper is from the same farm as the coffee used at this event.
The bakes sound incredible and include a black cardamom & jaggery kouign amann and a black pepper shortbread. There will be chai as well as the aforementioned coffee.
