Coffee Klatsch | Olas Coffee, Williamsburg

Coffee klatsch – meet friends for coffee and conversation. Each week, we meet at a different cafe, either a new spot or an old favorite, drink and share coffee, and chat – about the coffee and whatever else.

I’ve been doing this forever, but it became formalized during the pandemic, when human interaction was hard to come by.

This week we are visiting Olas Coffee, which opened about a year ago in the old Gimme! Coffee space on Lorimer in Williamsburg, which closed at the beginning of the pandemic.

Olas partners Jeremiah and Miguel roast their coffee themselves, at Shared Roasting, although they used to roast at Regalia Roasting Collective, before the disastrous fire.

Time allowing, we will also visit their fellow Regalia alumnus, Paloma Coffee & Bakery, a couple of blocks away, whose owner used to roast at Regalia under the moniker Good Day Roasting.

Anyone is welcome. I’d appreciate an RSVP, but it’s not necessary. It’s free, except for whatever you buy in the venue. Usually we share some pourovers and then add on whatever else want to consume personally.
