Grand Opening, Peace Cafe, Bedford Stuyvesant

A social enterprise of the Brooklyn Peace Center, Peace Cafe hopes to “build community, provide employment opportunities in the neighborhood, and create an earned revenue stream to support the operational and programmatic costs of Brooklyn Peace Center.”

I met the knowledgeable and passionate manager (Jason Storbakken) and head barista (Javier Rodriguez) of Peace Cafe at Lattente’s Social Impact Chat last week, and I’m looking forward to see what they’ve put together. Little by Little, the upstairs arts organization that “prioritizes low barriers to entry and platforms emerging artists,” is having their monthly sale on the same day.
