Coffee Klatsch Cupping + Typica US | Principles GI Coffee House, Gowanus

Wednesday, December 6, 2023 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am

Free

Coffee klatsch – meeting for coffee and conversation. We are coffee and cafe culture enthusiasts who meet each week to explore the New York City cafe scene. Any and all welcome. Please show up on time for this event – there is a defined starting time. It is being held at Principles, one of our favorite multi-roaster shops. After the cupping we will hang around, order some coffee from the fine selection at Principles, and talk about the cupping and other things.

Under the guidance of Rachel Keen and Jonathan Withers of Typica, a Japanese-based global exchange that connects green coffee farmers and producers with coffee roasters, we will learn about Tanzania coffees from Acacia Hills Estate and then cup four different varieties from there.

This event is open to anyone, from complete beginners to seasoned veterans. If you’re looking for a gentle introduction to cupping, this is the one to come to.

The event is free, but I am hoping for a donation of $10 or more from each participant, all of which will go to Principles. Once you RSVP I’ll send details on how to donate.

Please RSVP below so we can adjust the cupping as necessary.
