Coffee Klatsch Cupping – Bourbons | Principles GI Coffee House, Gowanus

Wednesday, October 25, 2023 @ 9:30 am - 11:30 am

Free

Coffee klatsch – meeting for coffee and conversation. We are coffee and cafe culture enthusiasts who meet each week to explore the New York City cafe scene. Any and all welcome. Please show up on time for this event – there is a defined starting time.

This week’s klatsch is a departure from the usual for us. Multi-roaster Gowanus cafe Principles is one of my favorite shops in New York City, and master barista Nikolai Pottorff will be guiding us. We will be cupping a bunch of differently colored Bourbons (nothing to do with alcohol) from Passenger Coffee (Lancaster, PA) and Botz Coffee (Munster, IN).

This event is open to anyone, from rank beginners to seasoned veterans. If you’ve always wanted to try cupping, this is the friendly event to come to. There is a sliding scale admission fee based on what you can afford, but I recommend $10 or more to defray the cost of the coffees.

If you’d like to know a little bit about cupping before you attend, this is a good beginner’s guide.

Please RSVP below so we can adjust the cupping as necessary.
